University Quebec Information
The University Quebec, Université du Québec, is one of the leading institutions in Quebec, Canada. It is a system of ten provincially-run public universities in Quebec and the university is not accommodating programs for approximately 87,000 students. The Université du Québec is offering more than 300 programs suited for the needs of students – both local and international.
The university was established in 1968 by an act of Quebec's National Assembly, which made it a public institution. The component institutions include the following: the École nationale d'administration publique (ENAP), based in Quebec City, with campuses in Montreal, Gatineau, Trois-Rivières, and Saguenay; the École de technologie supérieure (ETS), in Montreal; the Université du Québec à Montréal (UQÀM), in Montreal; the Université du Québec à Chicoutimi (UQAC), in Saguenay; the Université du Québec en Abitibi-Témiscamingue (UQAT), with campuses in Rouyn-Noranda, Val-d'Or, and other towns; the Université du Québec à Rimouski (UQAR), in Rimouski; the Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières (UQTR), in Trois-Rivières; and the Université du Québec en Outaouais (UQO), in Gatineau.
