University New Mexico Albuquerque Information
Since being founded at the end of the nineteenth century the university of new mexico (who's main campus is in Albuquerque) has grown in size to cater for around twenty four thousand students and covers an area of almost six hundred acres. The university of New Mexico is especially strong in the studies of engineering and care oriented medicine. The university also ranks very high in the study of clinical law.
Over the years the university of New Mexico has attracted many notable staff and alumni including the Nobel prize for physics Murray Gell-Mann who teaches particle physics. Other names to pass through the gates include writers Timothy Braun, Robert Creeley, Tony Hillerman and Brian Jay Jones; the entertainers Penny Marshall and Cissy King. Being a strong university in sports has enabled New Mexico to produce many sports stars, including the American Footballers Rich Bradford, Terence Mathis, Stoney Case and Hank Baskett, the footballer Andrew Boyens; and basketball's Michael Cooper.
