University Montpellier 2 Information
Although only in existence since 1970 the Montpellier 2 university can trace its roots back to the early eighteenth century. The university in its present form was founded by the splitting of the university of Montpellier into three; the original universities science department was formed in 1706.
Nowadays university Montpellier 2 is overseen by its president Jean-Louis Cuq and caters to over thirteen thousand students. Study occurs in four different campuses, other than Montpellier itself, university campuses are located in Sète, Nîmes and Béziers.
