University of Massachusetts Amherst Information
The university of Massachusetts Amherst was first established in 1863 as the Massachusetts Agricultural College under the provision of a federal Morrill Land Grant Colleges Act. It has grown to offer study across 90 different disciplines at the undergraduate level and offered 65 post graduate fields of study.
The university offers a broad range of subjects and two of its major colleges are those of Engineering and of agriculture. It is also well known for its army program. Some of the noted faculty who teach at the university include Walter Denny, Max page, Don Towsley, and Fred Feldman.
