University Louis Pasteur (Strasbourg 1) Information
Named after the famous French Scientist the Louis Pasteur University is located in Strasbourg in France. The University was established in the 16th century and was renamed. The President of the ULP is Alain Beretz.
The university is especially strong in the fields of medicine, natural sciences and technology. There are 14 different research federations, and these are split up into 74 specific scientific research units.
Over the years faculty associated with the University Louis Pasteur have been awarded a total of 4 nobel prizes. The winners include the physician Albrecht Kossel, the chemist Jean-Marie Lehn, the physicist Karl Ferdinand Braun and the theologian Albert Schweitzer.
