About the University of British Columbia (UBC)
UBC is located in Canada, and was founded in 1908 as a public institution. It is situated in a campus of around 1.7 Kilometers square in Vancouver.

The libraries of the university of British Columbia hold over 4.7 million bound volumes. This makes them the second biggest research library in the whole of Canada. In addition to the books the UBC libraries also contain over five million works on microfilm and close to a million maps.
