Tufts University Information
Tufts university is located close to and in Boston, Massachusetts with the main campuses being in Medford and Somerville. Tufts was originally started as a non-sectarian university with a gift of $20,000 to the Universalist church located on Walnut Hill in Medford.
Today there are eight main schools at Tufts university these are the: The School of Engineering; School of Medicine; School of Dental Medicine; Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy; School of Arts and Sciences; Sackler School of Graduate Biomedical Sciences; Friedman School of Nutrition Science and Policy; Tisch College of Citizenship and Public Service; and the Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine.
There are three Nobel prize winners associated with Tufts University, these being: Barry Trimmer, Daniel Dennett and Allan Cormack. Other noticeable faculty and Alumni include Martin Sherwin, Pierre Omidyar and William Hurt.
