Tokyo Institute of Technology Information
Located in the capital of Japan the Tokyo Institute of Technology ranks as one of the strongest universities in its field within Asia. There are three campuses associated with the institute these are the Ookayama campus, the Suzukakedai campus and the Tamachi campus. Of these it is the Ookayama campus, located in Meguro which is considered the main campus.
The university is dedicated to science and technology and is divided into three main schools at undergraduate level: these being the schools of engineering; school of science; and the school of bioscience and biotechnology.
The Tokyo institute of technology has slightly more postgraduate students than undergraduates and more specialised areas of studies are available, with graduate schools being available: Innovation Management; Interdisciplinary Science and Engineering; Science and Engineering; Information Science and Engineering; Decision Science and Technology;Bioscience and Biotechnology.
There are many famous alumni and faculty associated with the institute, these include the Nobel Laureate Hideki Shirakawa. Also of note are Shigeo Hirose, Satoru Iwata and Kenichi Ohmae.
