Rice University, also known as William Marsh Rice University, is one of the many universities in the United States that is distinguished by its size, collaborative culture, selectivity and resources. There is also a media center, nine residential colleges, on-campus data center and an observatory to meet the educational needs of students.
Rice University also boasts of tennis courts, athletic grounds, stadiums for baseball, soccer, tennis, football and track and field. Lots of research work is offered and conducted here where funds for research are provided by several foundations and federations. And to meet the utility needs of the university, a central plant provides chilled water from a water well and steam for the natural gas fired and steam and electricity cogeneration facility.
