National Taiwan University Information
Located in Taipei city the National Taiwan University was first established in 1928. It is a public institution and is currently headed by its president Si-Chen Lee. The university offers over 100 different kinds of degrees.
The university is split into eleven major colleges; these cover the following major topic areas: Bio-resource and Agriculture; Electrical Engineering and Computer Science; Engineering; Law; Liberal Arts; Life Science; Management; Medicine; Public Health; Science; and Social Science. Being a large university National Taiwan is spread across a large area and has six campuses and three research stations. The main campus is located on Roosevelt Road in Taipei.
Over the years the National Taiwan University has amassed an enviable list of alumni and associated faculty; these include the nobel prize winners Lee Yuan-tseh and Andrew Yao. Other notable people include presidents and premiers of Taiwan such as Teng-hui lee, Ying-jeou Ma and Frank Hsieh; entertainers such as Wakin Chau and Alec Su; and academics such as Ying-Shih Yu, Jin Au Kong, Yu-Chong Tai and Jang Yen Wu.
