Hong Kong Polytechnic University Information
Although established in the early 1970's the Hong kong Polytechnic University only gained full university status in 1994. Despite the institutions relatively young age it has risen rapidly amongst the worlds universities and the times of London rates it as close to being one of the best 250 universities in the world. It is presently overseen by Chung-Kwong Poon.
One of the reasons that the Times rates the The Hong Kong polytechnic universities so highly is its strengths in tourism, hotel management, finance, civil engineering, design and business. The university has six major faculties as follows:

Additionally the HKPU also has schools dedicated to the study of Design, Nursing, Hotel and Tourism management, and professional education.
