Free University of Amsterdam Information
Founded in 1880 by the dutch politician Abraham Kuyper, the free university of Amsterdam has grown to have 12 faculties, and is currently steered by its president Lex Bouter.
The VU university offers study at undergraduate and postgraduate level and excels in seven main areas, these being Economics and society; Legal and administrative issues; Communication, knowledge, and meaning; Computerization and digitization; Health and disease; System earth; and Life sciences.
