Colorado State University Information
The Colorado state university is located in the city of Fort Collins in the USA state of Colorado. It was first established in 1870 as the Colorado Agricultural College under the provision of a land grant obtained eight years earlier. Today it is presided over by its president Larry Penley.
Colorado state university has eight major colleges, these are dedicated to the study of the following topics: Agricultural Sciences; Applied Human Sciences; Business; Engineering; Liberal Arts; Natural Resources; Natural Sciences; Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences.
The university is especially strong in the study of Biology; Agricultural and Resource Economics; Atmospheric Sciences; Food Science; and agronomy.
Over the years the university has had many famous alumni and faculty, these include Raj Chandra Bose, William M. Gray, and Carol Voisin. As a university that is very strong in sports Colorado state has produced many fine athletes including Amy Van Dyken, Clark Haggans, Thurman McGraw, Milt Palacio, and Joey Porter.
