Carnegie Mellon University is located in Pennslyvania and was founded in 1900 as a private institution having been created through a merger of the Mellon Institute of Industrial Research and the Carnegie Institute of Technology in 1967. It is situated in a campus of around 103 acres in Pittsburg.
