How to grow Acidanthera

It is best to plant Acidanthera bulbs at a depth of 9 to 15 cm, and a spacing that is 15 to 30 cm apart in the late spring. Sword lilies prefers light and should be grown in areas that receive full sunlight. The soil should be well drained. Sword lilies requires regular watering during the growing season an monthly feeds of liquid fertiliser. Acidanthera requires 30 to 90 days for germination at a temperature of 10 to 13 degrees Celsius. If growing the plant indoors for later transplanting it should be sown in the spring.
